eurOptimum was awarded the opportunity to design a spectacular feature wall for the main reception area in this client's headquarters in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. To develop the concept, eurOptimum's creative team asked the question, “What shapes the land?” The answer focused on the movement of water through the natural landscape of the local Treaty Six territory in Saskatchewan, Canada. Using layers of FSC certified ash plywood, this architectural feature showcases the topography of the land.
Utilizing LED illumination the curvilinear forms of rivers and other bodies of water that carve through the landscape are highlighted.
White ash feature walls were carved in relief to create a three-dimensional story, telling the process of potash production from mining to processing into multi-nutrient fertilizer.
